Talk by Narayan.G.Hegde.
Yesterday the guest speaker was Narayan .G. Hegde who is the director of BIAF organisation. His Talk was on ‘Global Warming’. He shared his experience in afforestation projects involving people. To involve people we have to show them the benefits. The slogans like “Plant a tree to save earth” is less appealing to rural people. Instead if the Slogan is ” Plant a tree and earn 1000 Rs. a year” will be more appealing to rural people. Only if there is vested interest,people will participate.
